Do You Need Expensive Exercise Machines to Lose Weight?

Recently, I saw a commercial on television showing off some new exercise machine from Bowflex. Apparently, these people are burning more calories in 15 minutes than they did in a 45 minute session at a gym. The biggest and most noteworthy claim is being able to burn 150 calories in 15 minutes.
