Reviews: Emerge Body Slenderizing Drink Mix

Last Updated on January 17, 2020 by Michael Brockbank

As my family and I strive for better health, my best friend turned me on to something called Emerge. This is a drink mix that is added to water and is to be “fat incinerating” and a mood enhancer. Personally, I am always skeptical when it comes to products that claim things such as this. However, I am quite impressed with this product and decided to go into a bit more detail for those visiting the site.

What Is Emerge?

Emerge is a diet supplement that is added to water created by Max Muscle Sports Nutrition. You add one scoop of the powder with 8 to 16 ounces of water. Personally, I put this into my 18 ounce blender bottle and shake it up. Currently, my favorite is the Pineapple Pizzazz.

This drink mix states how it suppresses the appetite, stimulates fat metabolism and enhances your mental acuity such as mood and focus. It’s not an overly expensive product and is found in many health stores. We get ours from the Max Muscle in the Denver area.

Why Would You Want Emerge?

Speaking from experience, Emerge has done a great deal for me. I’ve noticed that my moods have been definitely enhanced while not feeling snacky between meals. It’s an affordable way to get more water and a ton of vitamins that you might be missing out on.

It is filled with vitamin C, B6 and B12 – hence the mood enhancement and cognitive focus.

Does Emerge Work For You?

Given the properties of the components within Emerge, there is a great deal of scientific evidence to support how this supplement could be ideal for enhancing focus and helping reduce body weight.

Myself, I’ve noticed a significant difference in my mental attributes and moods throughout the day. This isn’t saying that you’ll experience the same thing, but scientifically there is a good chance you will.

Where to Buy Emerge

If you don’t have a Max Muscle nearby, you can always use the Max Muscle website to order your own. Personally, I am quite pleased with the product and will continue to buy Emerge.

I’ll put in as many ingredients as I can find. Aside from the obvious levels of the vitamin nutrition, Emerge has a proprietary blend of things and does not show exact numbers of those components.

  • Dandelion Leaf Extract
  • Green Tea Extract
  • Hoodia Gordonii
  • Advantra Z
  • L-Taurine
  • Panax Ginseng
  • Glucuronolactone
  • Adenosine
  • Octopamine
  • L-Carnitine
  • Yohimbine
  • Vinpocetine
  • NADH
  • Evodiamine

The Science Behind This Product

If you’re like me, most of these ingredients look more alien than anything. So, I am going to break down each one and provide scientific data as to why each one is included in the ingredients…that is, if I can find scientific evidence to support the claim.

Dandelion Leaf Extract
Dandelions have been used for a long time to treat a myriad of diseases. Although they are full of various vitamins and minerals, their only true scientific purpose is that of a diuretic. Essentially, the extract of dandelions increases urinary output. This helps the body get rid of excess fluids and other toxins. [NCBI –[/note]

Green Tea Extract
Green tea extract has been found to increase fat oxidation, the body’s way of eliminating fat stores. The green tea extract study demonstrated a positive result in fat burning attributes as well as enhancing the body’s ability to treat insulin and glucose. However, the study was also only focused on healthy young men. [note]NCBI –[/note]

Hoodia Gordonii
Hoodia Gordonii is a plant that has origins as being a staple of South African bush people. Although there isn’t enough conclusive scientific evidence to say that Hoodia can be used as an appetite suppressant, studies show a great deal of promise. In one specific study, people lost just over three percent of their body weight due to lower caloric intake. [note]Web MD –[/note]

Advantra Z
Advantra Z is extracted from the Chinese herb knows as zhi-shi. It’s been found to increase thermogenesis in the body. This means that the product induces the body to heat itself up in order to burn fat while increasing the heart rate. Studies have also been done on this product to ensure it is safe. Advantra Z had no effect on systolic or diastolic blood pressure. [note]NCBI –[/note]

Taurine is a component that is believed to be beneficial for cognitive development. However, research has been done to an extent regarding it’s properties as an antioxidant. This means it’s beneficial for the blood stream while helping to keep your blood pressure in check. [note]NCBI –[/note]

Panax Ginseng
Studies have demonstrated that Panax Ginseng may have great potential as a mood enhancer. In various studies, it reduced aggression while elevating mood in those suffering from diabetes. It’s also been connected with improving the immune system. However, there is no evidence that supports physical improvements. [note]American Family Physician –[/note]

There is very little information that denotes whether Glucuronolactone has any real significant benefits for those looking to lose weight. In a 1956 study, it was originally thought to help oxidation of uridine diphosphate glucose, and nucleotide sugar in the body. Since then, it has been introduced with promising results as a anti-carcinogenic for cancer as well as strengthening the cardiovascular system. [note] –[/note] [note]Examine –[/note]

Adenosine is used by the body as a way to transfer energy, among other biochemical processes. It is a neurotransmitter than can improve various cognitive abilities. This has potential to be a part of Emerge’s claim for alertness and focus. [note]NCBI –[/note]

While there is a lack of significant evidence to support octopamine to be beneficial for humans, it does show that it can modify how dopamine signals in the brain change in other mammalian species. This means that it does have potential to enhance the mood of the recipient. Some evidence also shows how it could be used to help govern blood pressure. [note]Examine –[/note]

L-Carnitine has been found to help the body produce energy. It’s used to treat many conditions, but most center around cardiovascular. It’s an amino acid that contributes to the development of proteins within the body. [note]Web MD –[/note]

According to a performance study, yohimbine worked to serve as a fat-loss supplement in athletic soccer players. There was a significant loss in fat mass during the trial for those on the supplement, but there were no indications that it improved muscle training or energy levels. [note]NCBI –[/note]

There isn’t enough conclusive scientific evidence to support the use of vinpocetine as an enhancer for cognitive abilities. However, it’s believed that the compound increases blood flow to the brain – which has potential to improve mental functions. [note]NCBI –[/note] [note]Web MD –[/note]

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydrogen is a chemical that already occurs in the human body naturally. Essentially, it contributes to generating energy. And although it needs more research to back its claims, the results are promising. In fact, NADH shows promise to help those suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. [note]Web MD –[/note] [note]NCBI –[/note]

Evodiamine has been found to control the fat deposits of food from forming if that energy is not used. Essentially, your body will utilize the energy even if you’re not working out. It has been known as a way to treat high blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems. [note]NCBI –[/note]

What’s the Best Way To Use Emerge?

Emerge is a dietary supplement, which means you use it in conjunction with diets and exercise. You shouldn’t have more than four doses in any given day. Considering it’s a minor diuretic, you could easily dehydrate yourself. Personally, I have a scoop in the morning and then one after lunch.[template id=”3591″]
