Points In MyAchievement

MyAchievement is an easy way to make a few bucks while trying to be more healthy. I stumbled across this site last year, and so far it’s been a legitimate motivator. Although the payout is a bit infrequent, it’s still better than nothing at all. So, what are the quickest ways to get some points in MyAchievement?

First of all, let me say that this is not some kind of cheating method. I don’t believe in cheating in any form as it takes away from a legit victory. These are methods to maximize your health while trying to get that illustrious $10 sooner than later.

7 of the Quickest Ways for Points in MyAchievement

You have a lot of options when it comes to generating points in MyAchievement. For the most part, it relies heavily on your own motivation to be better than you are.

1. Connect As Many Apps As You Can

MyAchievement Apps

As of this moment, there are more than 25 apps you can connect to MyAchievement. This covers most of the popular platforms ranging from Twitter to Samsung Health and Microsoft Health.

Find the apps that work best with your health and fitness goals. For myself, I use:

  • Fitbit
  • MyFitnessPal
  • RunKeeper
  • Twitter

I’ve tried a few of the others that are available online, but these are essentially the only four I really put effort into. I would use Under Armor’s Record more often, but I don’t like the way it’s set up in comparison to things like Exercise.com.

2. Take Advantage of the Offers if Any

Achievement Offers

The offers in MyAchievement give you bonus points regarding what is available. For example, you can simply read a health article to get 2 points, or refer a friend and receive 100.

Offers don’t come around all the time, but it’s worth the few seconds to check the site every day to see if there is a bonus available. For instance, the image above is a snapshot of the site this morning. However, three months ago there was nothing in my list of offers.

I like taking the surveys as often as possible. It makes about the same amount of points that I accumulate by walking in a day.

3. Walk as Much as Possible

Paid For Walking

It’s silly how people can get paid for walking in an app. But it’s true. In fact, you make more points by walking than most other activities in MyAchievement.

Most of the points in MyAchievement are handed out in increments of 6. For instance, you can earn 6 points by tracking your heart rate or drinking water every day. However, walking generates about 0.0027 points per step. This was taken from a weekly average of myself.

So if I walk 10,455 steps throughout the entire day, I earn 28 points.

Of course you need an app to record your steps that will feed into MyAchievement. That’s one of the many benefits behind why I am a fan of the Fitbit Charge 2.

4. Use MyFitnessPal with MyAchievement

MyFitnessPal

I use MyFitnessPal as a sort of base of operations. Everything I use tie back into it to keep track of my overall health. From here, I monitor food intake, physical activity and my physical measurements.

Without doing much more than what I was in the past, I generate a lot of my points in MyAchievement from my activity in MyFitnessPal. It’s an integrated system that works amazingly well.

This is how a typical day goes for me. I track every morsel of food and cup of water I consume in MyFitnessPal from my smartphone. This lets me know how I am doing in calories, fats and carbs. Then, Fitbit pulls some of this information to complete its own records. Afterwards, Achievement pulls data from both Fitbit and MyFitnessPal regarding water and food intake.

Boom…12 points earned for doing nothing outside of keeping track of my intake – which I was doing long before signing up with MyAchievement.

Record All Your Food

Keep track of everything you eat and drink in MyFitnessPal. Not only does it help with points in MyAchievement, but you’ll also get an idea of how to become a healthier you. In fact, MyFitnessPal has contributed greatly to the first 60 pounds I’ve lost.

Keep Track of Drinking Water

Because MyAchievement looks for water intake, make sure you keep an eye on how much you drink. This is good for points as well as keeping your body hydrated, which plays heavily into health and weight loss.

5. Be Active on Twitter with Health Topics

Twitter

MyAchievement will scan your Twitter feed to find comments for health related topics. It’s kind of like promoting health and fitness by rewarding people for jumping into the conversation.

I try to tie every post I make for Crossing Colorado to health and fitness in some way. Usually, I make the most points in MyAchievement by sharing the posts I create on this website.

At any rate, being more active for health and fitness in Twitter surely pays off in the long run. Not only does it help strengthen your own convictions for being healthy, but you make 6 points a day because of it.

6. Consider Getting a Fitbit

Fitbit

I’ve been a fan of Fitbit since long before MyAchievement. But not for the reasons why so many people buy it. I don’t really focus on steps all that much throughout the day. As I work and play from my computer, it’s difficult to compete with some friends who reach 20,000+ steps per day.

I use Fitbit more for calorie tracking and physical activity. It monitors my heart rate, which gives a semi-accurate portrayal of my physical activity for the day. The more active I am, the more calories I burn.

This information is then sent to MyFitnessPal to adjust my caloric intake for the day. The more active you are, the more you can eat without gaining weight.

A lot of the points in MyAchievement are registered from my Fitbit account. In my case, Achievement and Fitbit are the most productive combo for generating points.

Plus, I simply love the data Fitbit collects.

7. Put in the Effort to be Healthy

Eat Healthy

The best way to make as many points in MyAchievement as possible is to focus on a healthier lifestyle. The apps you use to record data are nothing more than mere tools. It’s up to you to actually use them and put in the effort to be healthy and fit.

Simply put, the more effort you put into the process, the more points you’ll make by the end of the day. I average just over 44 points per day, and this is including the weekends when I am more lax on being healthy.

I’m sure you can make more points than this as long as you stay the course and keep track of everything you do.

Doesn’t it take a lot of your day to record data for your health apps?

In reality, the only thing that takes time is the bar code scanner in MyFitnessPal. Because I have everything connected to MyAchievement, it doesn’t take any more time out of my day to record data. In fact, I completely forgot about MyAchievement for several months until I received my first $10 payment in PayPal.

Maintain Motivation for Health and Fitness

Although the Achievement reward threshold is 10,000 points, it’s still a simple way to get an easy $10. Get the most out of your own experience for health as well as get paid. It may not be a lot of money, but it’s better than nothing at all. Personally, that $10 I got came at just the right time.
